Elements involved in the communication process

Since we were in highschool, teachers have taught us that several elements are involved in the communication process, for instance, the basic ones are the sender (who sends the message), the message which is the content itself, it could be conveyed through writing, in speech or by signals (channels). Also, there is a receiver for whom the communication is meant, and finally the feedback which is the effect, reply or reaction of the information transmitted.

Also, there are other elements that influence in the way how the communication will take place, for example the context, but why the context should be cosidered?. Well, it is so important because according to a given situation we will communicate in a certain manner, and we usually do this in an automatical way when we are talking informally with our friends, and suddenly we change our behave and our posture towards a teacher or a person we don't know; I could say that we change our attitude, which is very important in the communication process, due to the fact that speaker's attitude and the listener's attitude as well can determine the effectiveness of the communication. On the other hand, if we understand the social context, more possibilities we have to know what is appropriated to say and what not. As you can see, in the picture above the old woman answered something that could be possible, but the girl's statement had another intention. So, this particular grandma should pay more attention to the context and even to the attitude of her granddaughter in order for her to understand better next time.
